Wander in the shadow of what's real,
Which bears down on the uninitiated like a veil,
Confusing the masses, confusing the senses,
An endless path to roam.
Witness the birth of thought!
Swathe imagination in a blanket of desire!
Wander no more, awaken and soar,
Welcome home lost soul, welcome home.
This reminds me of a verse in the Bible. It's in the Book of John, chapter 14, verse 2. Jesus said to his disciples, "In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you."
ReplyDeleteI love the last part of your poem: "Wander no more, awaken and soar, welcome home lost soul, welcome home."
Beautiful!
Nice. Home is always there but wandered away from easily. The picture is excellent too.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am very inspired by that verse, it's one that has stayed with me throughout my life. When Eddie Veder sings "All my destinations will accept the one that's me...so I can breathe" I think of it.
ReplyDeleteLynn, you have captured the essence magnificently. Isn't it wonderful to have that!
Hi Steve:
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting photograph - the wonderful and distorted reflections in each of the windows adds great interest to this work. Congratulations for seeing it and capturing it.
